A channel OP can invite "logbot" into the channel using the IRC /invite command.
"logbot" can be invited into password protected channels, however the logs it collects will be publicly visible.
Most IRC networks place an upper limit on the number of channels a single account can join; if logbot won't join your channel it's likely it's already at capacity.
